Hyperion Morgenstern // M // CM // Alpha

The alpha of the Cursed Moon pack has an odd, cruel personality. He enjoys the little things, such as the light, the sun's warmth, and becoming the alpha of other packs by force. On the other end of the spectrum, Hyperion snaps his teeth at a nearby pack member just for the joy of seeing them cower under his maw. He completely despises his territory, yet he remains in his mountains. If the topic of his sister or her light pelt pack comes up, he turns his snout up at the thought of them. In his mind, she is not fit to even have the joy of being beneath the sun's rays. He also has no physical interest in the females of his pack, but he knows he'll need to produce an heir with the strongest female within the light.

This is a bulky, powerful male. His fur is a charcoal color with a light dusting of dove gray. The tips of his front toes are white - his least favorite feature - as well as a small tuft in the center of his chest. His eyes are mostly a bright blue, but his left iris has a ring of gold around the pupil. Hyperion sees his small defect as a sign that he was blessed by Celestius. He weighs a hefty 120 pounds, and he stands about 45 inches from his paws to his shoulders. When he walks, he leaves behind a soft scent of fresh, warm rocks that have sat beneath the sun for an afternoon.

A small, black pup was born to a litter of three others, who were all lighter colored. He was the eldest, as well as the largest. He grew up knowing that his family and his pack loved him unconditionally. And he loved them too, for a time. But, as he and his siblings were taught how their land came to be, from the Heavenly Light, he began to change. He'd bully his littermates and other wolves which were close in age, and he'd grow jealous anytime another accomplished anything that he hadn't yet gotten to.
When he approached his first birthday, he gathered his fellow dark pelts. He preached to them how he was their savior, the Celestius incarnate. He was there to bring prosperity to their pack - he just needed their help distracting the nonbelievers as he did so.
On the moon of his birthday, he snuck into his parents' den. The faded scents of his siblings gave him pause, but only temporarily. He broke their necks swiftly, not even giving them time to call out in surprise.
His siblings cornered him when he left the den. Apparently, Ouranus had overheard his speech to his gathered subjects. He had told their siblings, Okeanus and ___. They fought hard and fearlessly until the very end. He slaughtered Okeanus and Ouranus, but once he finally turned to the youngest, ___, he was not at full strength. He and his subordinates were banished after he was defeated by his lone sibling and the light packs.
Wanting to rid himself of all ties to his unholy family, Hyperion Titanson changed his name to Hyperion Morgenstern - "Morningstar" in honor of his enlightened blood.
